Endless Mountains 250

251.7 miles | 24,379’ | 61% unpaved

Ride the western Endless Mountains on this 250-mile bikepacking loop linking welcoming towns, Worlds End State Park, Loyalsock State Forest, and hundreds of miles of gravel roads.

The Endless 250 is the western half of the Endless 430, offering a complete bikepacking experience in a more approachable distance. Starting and finishing in Towanda, this 250-mile loop explores many of the region's signature landscapes on the southwest side of the North Branch of the Susquehanna River.

The route links together many of the region's most memorable communities, including Sayre, Troy, Canton, Forksville, Laporte, and Dushore, each offering its own mix of historic downtowns, local restaurants, lodging, and resupply opportunities. Riders also experience the welcoming cycling community in Canton (mile 75) plus the hometown of route visionary Donna in Dushore (mile 183), where local volunteers and businesses have embraced gravel cycling and bikepacking as part of the town's identity.

A defining feature of the Endless 250 is the amount of public land it traverses. The route spends significant time in Loyalsock State Forest, home to Worlds End State Park, scenic mountain streams, sweeping overlooks, and some of the finest gravel roads in Pennsylvania. Additional sections pass through State Game Lands, creating long stretches of quiet riding through forests with very little development.

Bikepackers will find opportunities for overnight camping throughout the route. The state forest offers several free, reservable primitive campgrounds, while Worlds End State Park provides additional camping and cabin accommodations. Combined with the frequent small towns, riders can tailor the route to a variety of riding styles, whether camping each night or mixing campgrounds with other lodging.
